Daniel Olszewski is a classical guitarist who infuses each performance with an attention-grabbing mix of zeal and enthusiasm. His distinct approach to musical arrangements transforms audiences through an unexpected journey of fun and fascination!
This concert, "El Tanguero," will be Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Humanities Room 112. It is a heartfelt tribute to the timeless art of Argentine Tango, featuring compositions by renowned masters such as Astor Piazzolla, Jose Luis Merlin and Carlos Guastavino, with a special tribute to Piazzolla by Maximo Diego Pujol. Within the program, the movements of Piazzolla's seminal work Four Seasons of Buenos Aires create structural touchstones as listeners are guided through the passionate rhythms, intricate harmonies and profound emotional depth of Argentinian art music.
