AACC Faculty Jazz Ensemble

They’re baaaaaaack! On Saturday, March 1 in Cade 224 at 7:30 p.m., the AACC Faculty Jazz Ensemble takes to the stage again to bring you nothing short of an enjoyable evening of smooth jazz sounds. Anthony Pocetti, Mercedes Beckman, Frank Russo, Shawn Simon and Ian Wardenski are all AACC professors who perform a harmonious blend of clever collaboration and masterful musicianship. Plus, they add a lot of fun to the mix! As AACC instructors, this group is dedicated to the performance, education and advancement of America’s music. In addition to performing traditional repertoire, the ensemble focuses on music composed by its members. Come out and join us, along with friends and family!

Opera AACC
Thursday, March 13, 7 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2 p.m., Sunday, March 16, at 3 p.m. in the Robert E. Kauffman Theater in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts.
Opera AACC presents "Dead Man Walking," the most widely performed opera of the last 25 years.
OPERA AACC is comprised of over 40 credit students working collaboratively with community performers/musicians, rising young artists, local professional artists and members of our world-class adjunct faculty. For this production, students in the Photography program are creating original projections, curated by AACC faculty member Matthew Moore. Quinton Folks, recent Peabody graduate and protégé of Marin Alsop, is conducting. The All Children’s Chorus of Annapolis also will perform.

AACC Theatre Black Box Series

AACC Theatre is presenting its second year of the Black Box Series, short plays that are written, designed, acted and directed by students. The event will be hosted by the Overcast Improv.
AACC Theatre’s goal with this project is to support and give our budding theatre artists and theatrical community room to experiment and take risks in a safe space. Four plays will be performed: “Maria & Andrew,” by Tomi Brunton (directed by Gabe Duque); “Too Little, Too Late,” by Olivia Comeau (directed by Eva Parry); “Diner Date,” by Martin Egna (directed by Lucas White); and “OUROBOROROROBOS,” by Jonas Tintenseher (directed by Jason Kalshoven).
Performances are in Humanities Building Room 112 at AACC in Arnold. Parking is free.
