Section Info: Arnold Senior Center | One Stroke Painting | Explore one-stroke painting. This class is perfect for beginners and experienced students. Learn basic strokes like flat stroke, U-stroke, daisy stroke, bud stroke, tear drop stroke, easy petal strokes, shell strokes/wiggle strokes, leaf strokes as well as learning about the supplies needed. Section Info: Arnold | Watercolors Beginning | Acquaint students with basic elements of watercolor as an art form. Use of line drawings and defining various watercolor applications and techniques will be covered along with discussion of color theory and color mixing. Section Info: Arnold | Watercolors Intermediate | This class moves at a faster pace and uses more challenging designs and techniques than Beginning Watercolor. We'll be using line drawings, students own subject matter from photographs, or their own drawings. Application/demonstration of additional watercolor mediums and additives. Matting, framing and preservation of work will be discussed. Critiques upon completion of painting projects. Identifying market outlets. Section Info: Brooklyn Park Senior Center | Acrylics | In this class, students will learn skills to paint a variety of nature scenes on elements from nature including rocks, driftwood, oysters' shells, crab shells and more. Advanced and beginner students are welcome. Class is designed to be a relaxing and fun exploration of painting and art! Please come to the first session to see examples of painted elements and discuss supplies. Acrylic paints and brushes are required for this class. All nature elements will be provided by the instructor.

Section Info: Online | Chinese Calligraphy | Chinese calligraphy is a refined art form with five main styles-ranging from rough and informal to elegant and stylized. Each character expresses a moment through balance, proportion, and rhythm. Strokes follow a specific order, with even spacing and consistent sizing. The simplicity and meditative quality stem from Zen Buddhism and Taoism.
