Learn the basic craft elements of writing poetry and short fiction. Complete weekly exercises designed to teach the fundamental aspects of reading and writing poetry and fiction. Develop collections of poems and short stories. Practice the workshop method to discuss student writing, foster critical thinking, and develop individual styles. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 101/ENG 101A. Note: Also offered as ENG 200H; credit not given for both ENG 200 and ENG 200H.
