Investigate the process of conducting research, from initial literature reviews to project outline and data collection. Engage in a variety of research projects at AACC and during field trips to local research facilities in the Chesapeake region's diverse habitats, using a wide range of scientific tools and technologies. Design a research project to conduct with faculty mentorship at AACC. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 101/101A. Note: This course may include field trips during class time. Transportation will be provided. Also offered as SCI 101H; credit is not given for both SCI 101 and SCI 101H.
