Adil Qaiyumi has been teaching in AACC’s Homeland Security and Criminal Justice Institute since 2014. In that time, he has taught a variety of courses, ranging from terrorism/counterterrorism to organized crime to the history of homicide and more. Additionally, he has a law practice in Washington, D.C., where he handles criminal, civil and immigration law.
Although juggling teaching and his law firm keeps him busy, Qaiyumi finds his work at AACC rewarding. He enjoys the promise and enthusiasm his students show each term. Additionally, he helps plan and coordinate Immigration Awareness Month events at the college every April.
When he's not working, you’ll probably find Qaiyumi spending time with his family. He said he has been “very blessed” to be married to his wife for 14 years, and the two have three “amazing children.”
