A Little More

Dr. Julie Grignon has been teaching at AACC since 2003, first as an adjunct instructor and now as a full-time instructor. She also spent many years as a school psychologist at the K-12 level. She enjoys sharing her love of teaching and psychology with college students who seek to advance their education.

Grignon deeply values the perspective that each student brings to her class. She encourages her students to learn more about themselves and each other by creating opportunities for them to connect and share their experiences as they relate to psychology.

As a co-advisor of AACC’s Psychology Club, Grignon gets to bond with her students outside of the classroom as well. In the club, there are opportunities for students to build leadership skills, learn about psychology research and careers, and go on field trips.

“I often tell friends and family that after many years of searching I found what I was meant to do,” Grignon said. But when she’s not teaching psychology, you can find her enjoying some outdoor activities with her husband and two sons.
