Lavon Davis serves as an adjunct faculty member at AACC, teaching courses in academic literacies, American studies and English. Working for nearly 10 years as a scholar practitioner in higher education, Davis considers himself a lifelong learner whose talents and skills led him to the body of scholarship and research. He’s still in the process of learning himself. He’s currently pursuing a doctorate in language, literacy and culture at UMBC.
Through his passion for teaching and working with students, faculty and staff, he continues to find meaning and joy in this work. In his spare time, Davis enjoys exercising, eating, going to the movies, traveling, being in community with family and friends, and spending time with his lovely cockapoo, Decker Lee.
