A Little More

Since joining AACC in fall 2022, Zoe Farquhar has taught Fundamentals of Oral Communication, Introduction to Mass Media and Intercultural Communication. In each class, she encourages students to find their voice and explore how communication connects people across differences.

“My favorite thing about teaching at AACC is the community I have found here,” she said. “I am confident that every student can find their place and their people here at AACC.”

Farquhar serves as faculty advisor for the Gender and Sexualities Alliance (GSA), helping students create spaces where everyone feels welcome and valued. She’s constantly inspired by her students’ ability to balance the many parts of their lives while still showing up ready to learn, grow and challenge themselves.

Outside the classroom, Farquhar enjoys time with her husband, daughter and their many pets (her “multispecies family"). Originally from the Philadelphia area, she’s a devoted fan of all the city’s sports teams and cheers them on with pride (go Birds!).
