For Kim Law, teaching at AACC is a full-circle moment for her family. She was born in Anne Arundel County and her father taught science courses at AACC part time in the 1970s. She moved away from the area when she was 5 but returned in 2007.
“It truly felt like I was coming home,” she said.
At AACC, Law teaches courses in computer information systems and serves as a mentor to both Transfer Studies and female technology students. Her students describe her as kind, and she’s known for making class projects fun and interesting. In turn, Law is inspired by her students’ drive and ambition.
“I love seeing students achieve their own success – be it transfer or employment,” she said. “The students who are at AACC want to be at AACC.”
