AACC Receives Executive Alliance’s 2023 Honor Roll Award for Women’s Representation

Executive Alliance recently named Anne Arundel Community College to the 2023 Honor Roll for Women’s Representation. The recognition aims to promote equity, diversity and inclusion for women and celebrates Maryland organizations that lead the way for women’s leadership. Forty-three organizations were included in this year’s list.

To qualify for the award, at least 30% of the organization’s executive leadership, as well as the board of trustees, must identify as women. At the time of the award, five women sat on AACC’s eight-member board of trustees and 83% of the executive leadership team were women.

“This honor reflects one of many ways that AACC is a leader,” said Sandra Moore, chair of the AACC board of trustees. “I am proud to be part of an organization that supports so many women leaders.”

Dr. Dawn Lindsay, AACC president, said, “This recognition shows AACC’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion throughout all levels of the college.”

Any private company or nonprofit organization headquartered in or with a significant employee population in Maryland is eligible for the Honor Roll. A panel of judges from Executive Alliance reviewed all submissions to determine the honorees.
