Heather Rellihan is a professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies and the chair of Interdisciplinary Studies at Anne Arundel Community College, where she has been teaching since 2006. She is also the Assistant Director of the Curriculum Transformation Project, an organization at AACC that seeks to encourage attention to diversity in curriculum and pedagogy. Rellihan is a co-editor of the popular textbook "Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies: Interdisciplinary and Intersectional Approaches," which will be coming out in its second edition from Oxford University Press in November 2020. She is also co-editor of "Theory and Praxis: Women’s and Gender Studies at Community Colleges," which was published in 2019 by Gival Press. Rellihan holds a B.A. in Sociology, an M.A. in English Language and Literature, an M.A. in Women’s Studies, and a Ph.D. in Women’s Studies. Rellihan spends her free time doing yoga and hiking with her dog Maisie.
