Anne Arundel Community College practices an open door admissions policy. Students are admitted to the college without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or any other characteristic protected by law. However, some restrictions exist for applicants enrolled in high school, under 16 years of age or are not U.S. citizens. In addition, the college has a requirement that individuals who are listed on the national Sex Offender Registry or the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Sex Offender Registry register with the required local and state agencies and inform the college’s Department of Public Safety and Police and the Director of Student Conduct upon their enrollment.
