Are you an app enthusiast hoping to design your own applications for the web or mobile devices?

In our programs, you’ll focus on designing and programming interactive apps either for the internet or devices like smartphones and tablets. You’ll learn traditional programming languages, scripting languages and database management systems.

If you already have a college degree, you may be eligible to complete these programs through the Fast Track Option, which means your general education, health, computing and information technology and competency, and diversity requirements are considered satisfied. 


Career Degrees

AACC offers the following Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees. The state of Maryland refers to the A.A.S. as a career degree, because it's intended to provide you with skills to enter the workforce. In some cases, AACC has entered into transfer agreements that allow these degrees to transfer to select colleges. A list of active agreements may be found on this website. You can also learn more about transferring from AACC to continue your education.

Web and Mobile Application Development, A.A.S.

This degree prepares you for careers in designing and programming interactive applications for the internet, smartphones or tablets. You will become familiar with the concepts and technologies used in both client and server side program development, including traditional programming languages, scripting languages and database management systems.

Mobile Device Application Development

In this certificate, students develop and apply programming skills, as well as Android and iOS development environment skills, to create applications for mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones, Android phones and tablets.

Transfer Studies, A.A.

The Transfer Studies, A.A. allows you to explore different subjects or concentrate on a specific course plan that will best meet your in-state (and even some out-of-state) transfer goals. Once you’ve completed one of these programs, you’ll have a new range of skills, including programming using the iOS or Android operating system development environment, and developing meaningful applications or web pages for the iPhone, iPad and Android smartphones and tablets.
