With the support of industry partners, AACC is excited to offer courses in Pre-apprenticeship Carpentry and Construction Estimating.
Carpentry is a versatile career for those with a passion for project management and using a hands-on approach. A carpenter repairs, constructs and installs building frameworks and structures made from wood and other materials. This pre-apprenticeship program is designed for you to gain on-the-job experience with classroom lab instruction.

Note: You must register for all courses to enter the program. Sections are offered each fall, winter and summer.
The program costs $3,450 for Anne Arundel County residents which includes textbooks, instruction and lab supplies.
Scholarships are available to cover the tuition and fee costs for qualified students. Attend an information session to learn more about scholarships.

AACC partners with Construction Experts Inc. to offer short-term, affordable trainings for experienced and prospective construction professionals. Earn an AACC continuing education certificate for completing the five-course Construction Estimating program:

The program costs $2,920 for Anne Arundel County residents, including tuition and fees, with scholarships available for eligible students.
Students taking noncredit classes don't need to apply for admission to AACC. Just check out our course search, choose a program or course that interests you, register and make your payment. Registration for summer courses is open. Registration for fall 2026 opens July 14! Please check course availability prior to registration.
If you have previously taken classes at AACC, you must log in using your AACC account. New students will be able to create a temporary account in the checkout process.

The School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development offices located in CALT 115 will be CLOSED from June 7 through June 27. The Continuing Education registration desk will be temporarily located in the Student Services Center (SSVC), first floor on the main Arnold campus.
