Discover a new way to take care of yourself! Our empowering self-defense courses are designed to give you the fundamental skills for defending yourself in violent situations. You will have the opportunity to work with certified instructors who will teach you defense techniques through hands-on, simulated scenarios. 

The mission of the R.A.D. Systems is to establish an accessible, constantly improving and internationally respected alliance of dedicated instructors. These instructors will provide educational opportunities for women, children, men and seniors to create a safer future for themselves. Students must be 16 or older.

The Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) System is comprised of a network of dedicated self-defense instructors across the United States and Canada that believes self-defense should be easy to learn, retain and employ during confrontational situations. Established in 1989, this alliance believes self-defense training should be accessible and affordable for all individuals. The instructors believe their efforts to oppose violence will be more effective together than as individuals.

No. This program is designed for the average individual with no previous experience or background in physical skills training.

The cost of this self-defense program is $13 per participant. 

The basic physical defense program is a minimum of nine hours spread across four days, occurring once a week. 


How to Register

Students taking continuing education classes don't need to apply for admission to AACC. Just check out our course search, choose a program or course that interests you, register and make your payment. Registration for the winter and spring semesters is open. Registration for summer 2026 opens April 14!
