At AACC, we want each credit you take to count toward your goal. That's why we have academic advisors specific to each Field of Interest. These advisors will help you find the right courses for your major, explore career options and untangle the sometimes complicated process of transfer.
Advisors are available to connect with students remotely, by appointment. Visit the Virtual Advising Center to schedule your appointment. IMPORTANT: Please arrive alive! Do not access our virtual advising services while driving.

If you have not already done so, submit any of the following documents to Records and Registration at least one week prior to meeting with an advisor. Ask that they be added to your record, and bring a copy with you to your appointment:
If you've taken placement tests at AACC the advisor will be able to access your scores.
Consider these questions in advance so your advisor can help you research the type of degree or certificate required, help you decide if you will need to transfer to a four-year institution, help you determine which AACC program of study will best prepare you and then which courses you should consider next.
Degree-seeking students must declare their program of study (major) after completing 24 credits. This helps us help you stay on track, and make sure the time you spend in class is maximized in meeting your academic goals. Not sure what to declare? Sometimes trying things and learning what doesn’t interest you is as important as finding things that do.
