In addition to the general grant, loan, and scholarship programs described by financial aid, there are several special aid programs targeted directly toward students pursuing teaching degrees.
The AACC Foundation also offers several scholarships targeted toward teaching students (Ernest and Lena Florestano Scholarship, Drs. Robert E. and Lila R. Schwartz Scholarship, Lisa Lynn Troyer Memorial Scholarship, and the Beverly H. Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship). The Child Care Career and Professional Development Grant funded by the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care provides funds for individuals working in child care to pursue coursework that leads to a certificate or degree related to the child care field.
